To the Harvesters Class
Since Roman & Bethany are members of our class, we would like to help furnish their new home in Argentina. For the next two Sundays you may bring in money for a special offering that will be given to this family. Since they will not be having a baby shower this will be in lieu of a shower. They will be leaving on July 15, so all the money needs to be given by Sunday, July 13.
Thank you for your willingness to serve the world!

Wednesday, June 25, 2008 Update
Hello All,
This morning we took Michael over for a follow up visit to Dr. Aaland. She is the trauma doctor that oversaw all of Michael’s treatment while at Parkview. (She is the same trauma doctor that Chuck and Ross had.) We got a really good report. Griselda and I both thought the GASH on his neck looked awful, but she thought it looked wonderful. She was really concerned about that area, but she was happy with the healing that she sees. She explained to Michael that he will see glass coming out of his arm for years, but it shouldn’t cause him any major problems or pain. Michael has now been released to start football conditioning, again, and he can go back to work. He can do some occasional driving, BUT…
Dr. Aaland spent a lot of time talking to Michael about the seriousness of his head trauma. She doesn’t want him riding a motor cycle or bicycle. No roller coasters, skiing, or contact sports till the brain trauma specialist sees him on July 21.
That is the next big hurtle. The report we get at that appointment will determine if Michael will be able to play football again or not. We were told he could in the hospital, but we didn’t that report from this doctor, so that is our new prayer request. We don’t know what they will use to make that decision or make that determination, but we pray now that Michael’s healing has been complete enough that he will be able to play football this fall for The University of Saint Francis Cougars.
Thanks
Steve Goings

Week of June 22-29, 2008
This Saturday morning, June 28, will be a landscaping work day at the church. Contact the church office for more details. 419.238.9426 All help is welcome and appreciated! Be here by 8am if you are able to help.
The entire class is also invited to attend the wedding ceremony of Brad Keirns and Megan Rupert on Saturday, June 28 at 4:30 pm.
Our Sunday School class will have an account set up to build an orphanage just as we built the 2 churches. Dorman will let us know when he has the account ready so that we can mark our church envelopes for tax-deducted giving. The cost of the orphanage is $8,000, and the goal is to have the money collected within the next 6 months.
Our class is in charge of the VanCrest Nursing Home worship this Sunday, June 29 at 1:30PM. Lisa Downard will lead the singing, but there is a need for a pianist. There is also a need for a person to lead a 10-minute devotion. Please contact the Downards if you can help with this ministry. They would appreciate it!!
Sunday School will begin 5 minutes early again this Sunday. By popular demand, Dorman will be re-airing the DVD by Louie Giglio “How Great is Our God.” You won’t want to miss!
Enjoy your week…see you on Sunday!
